Creative Connections are small art groups designed to give kids a comfortable place to create alongside others, build connections, and practice navigating social experiences naturally.

Why Creative Connections?

Creative Connections grew from a theme that comes up again and again in individual therapy: kids and teens looking for connection and friendships and wondering, “Does anyone else feel the way I do?”

Creative Connections offers a space for kids and teens to come together around shared experiences and discover that maybe they aren't the only one feeling the way they do.

What Groups Are Like

Each Creative Connections group has a theme or focus for the hour, such as friendship, communication, confidence, handling disagreements, or understanding emotions.

Each group begins with a short activity or conversation to introduce the theme, followed by open art studio time where kids can work on their own creative projects while talking and connecting with one another.

Groups are intentionally kept small, leaving plenty of room for conversation, creativity, humor, and spontaneous interaction.

Who It's For

Creative Connections may be a good fit for kids and teens who want to build friendships, wonder if others share similar experiences, or feel more comfortable connecting through a shared activity.

Groups are thoughtfully formed with consideration given to age, experiences, and individual needs. The goal is to bring together kids who are likely to relate to one another and feel at ease within the group.

No diagnosis or previous therapy experience is required.

Group Details

Creative Connections groups meet weekly with approximately four participants. Groups are ongoing, giving members time to get to know one another and build relationships over time.

Consistent attendance is encouraged, as familiarity and continuity are an important part of the group experience. It’s understood that illness, vacations, and other circumstances may occasionally mean missing a session.

Creative Connections groups are offered on a private pay basis and are not billed through insurance. Additional information about fees and scheduling will be provided when a potential group match is identified.
